Our Background
Mark Felsman, Owner & Founder
With over 18 years in the construction industry, Mark Felsman has built his career and his company on craftsmanship, integrity, and hard-earned experience. His journey began with hands-on work in nearly every trade, from concrete and framing to roofing and licensed journeyman mechanical and industrial insulation.
​
Mark’s dedication to excellence led him to pursue four years of trade school through Spokane Community College, where he completed an apprenticeship with Local #82 and earned the Craftsmanship Apprenticeship Award, competing nationally in San Francisco, California. After achieving his journeyman license, Mark transitioned from working on the tools to leading teams, driven by a vision to raise the standard for quality and accountability in Montana construction.

Today, as the founder and owner of Felsman Roofing, Mark combines his technical expertise with his deep sense of community and leadership. His mission is clear, to deliver superior roofing solutions while creating opportunities for local and Native workers, empowering future generations through skilled trades and honest work.

Every roof we build has a purpose, and so do we.

Felsman Roofing was founded on more than craftsmanship; it was founded on meaning. For us, building is not just about putting up roofs, it is about lifting people up.
​
Our founder, Mark Felsman, grew up on the Flathead Indian Reservation and learned early what resilience, community, and hard work truly mean. He also saw the challenges that many Native youth face, such as limited access to opportunity, training, and fair employment, even when talent and determination were never in short supply. Those experiences shaped his mission to create a company that builds more than roofs, one that builds futures.
​
Mark’s path was not easy. He worked his way through nearly every corner of the construction industry, from concrete and framing to roofing and industrial insulation, before earning his journeyman license and graduating from a four-year trade program through Spokane Community College. His dedication to his craft earned him the Craftsmanship Apprenticeship Award, where he represented Montana and competed nationally in San Francisco, California.

Mark had a vision to build a Native-owned company that gives back to the very communities that shaped him. Felsman Roofing became that vision realized, a company rooted in craftsmanship, integrity, and philanthropy.
